Releases Photos of the Homestead Property
LEWISBURG, Ky., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta Mining and
Exploration Corp. (Delta) (PINK SHEETS: DMXC) releases photos of the
Homestead Kimberlite from their recent visit to the Homestead
property.
To view the photos of the exciting
Homestead Kimberlite that according to Dr. Anthony Irving of The
University of Washington, an expert in the field of diamond
exploration and analysis, "is one of the most exciting new finds in
North America," visit [www.deltamine.com/properties-mtslideshow.htm].
The linked slideshow clearly shows
the position of the diamondiferous kimberlite and features some of the
other prospective targets. The Homestead Kimberlite is the area that
the Associated Press researched and profiled in a column they wrote
last week discussing the findings of microscopic diamonds. The next
stage is to determine whether economic diamonds are prevalent in the
region.
Finding economic diamond deposits
essentially comprises of four sequential stages that can be summarized
in the following manner: Discovering kimberlite and/or lamproites host
rocks; establishing the presence of diamond indicator minerals (such
as G9/G10 garnets, chromite and chrome-diopside); sampling for the
presence of microdiamonds/diamonds; and bulk-testing for the presence
of economic diamonds.
Delta has already achieved the first
3 of these 4 steps at the Homestead Kimberlite pipe in Montana and
would like to begin bulk-testing in the month of November, before the
Montana winter sets in. Once bulk-sampling is completed, the results
are generally known within a short period of time.
