Delta Mining and Exploration Receives Initial Deposit

NEW YORK, Aug. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta Mining and Exploration (OTC: DMXC) is pleased to announce that it has received the first traunche of cash from its funding agreement. As mentioned in a press release dated July 16, 2007, Delta has entered into an agreement with a private equity funding company for an influx of cash of up to nine-hundred thousand (US$900,000) dollars. Yesterday, the company received and banked its initial deposit.

These funds will be used for a deposit with Apex GeoScience so that they can schedule and commence Phase 3 work. With a tight schedule and a busy summer, the earliest that Apex will be able to begin is sometime in early to mid September. Work is then expected to be completed roughly two weeks after that. Once these dates are finalized we will make them available to the public.
